• Professional services provider for flexible workers JSA Services has acquired contractor services company Online Professional. The acquisition marks the firm’s seventh and largest acquisition to date.

• Stockport-based new start recruiter Odin Recruitment Group has secured a funding facility from independent, owner-managed factoring and invoice discounting provider Positive Cashflow Finance. The £150k funding facility will ensure working capital is available to meet the contractors’ weekly/monthly wages while waiting for their clients to pay.

• Global manufacturer of roof windows and modular skylights The VELUX Group has has gone live with recruitment software provider Workday’s Workday Human Capital Management system. The deployment covers the group’s 10,000 employees across 40 countries.

Nottingham man jailed for forced labour and human trafficking

A Nottingham landlord has been sentenced to eight years in prison after admitting human trafficking, two counts of forced labour and fraud at Nottingham Crown Court earlier this month.
