Management and executive level staffing specialist Cast UK has appointed Gary Mullen as managing consultant.

He will lead the firm’s FMCG supply chain and purchasing team and is based in Manchester.

Granite Consulting takes on Morris

Global technology and business projects recruiter Granite Consulting has appointed Mike Morris as specialist contract recruiter.

Morris most recently ran a 360 desk at Adecco brand Spring Personnel and is based in Bristol.

Kellan Group hires Humphreys as MD

Multi-sector recruitment organisation Kellan Group has appointed Liam Humphreys to its board as managing director, with immediate effect.

Humphreys, most recently a director at international board, management and executive recruiter PSD Group, has been working with the company as a non-board managing director since November and is responsible for all operations.

Newgate brings in Thomas to head internal recruitment

Corporate communications agency Newgate has appointed Angela Thomas as its first head of recruitment.

The firm says Thomas’ appointment reflects a trend for recruitment to be brought in-house, with most vacancies filled directly or through staff referral schemes.

Before joining Newgate, Thomas held a number of positions in recruitment consultancies in the UK and in Australia, previously leading the agency and corporate practice at specialist communications recruiter Ellwood Atfield in London until last year.

Working across the firm and across parent company Porta Communications, Thomas will report to Porta HR director Annmarie Stephenson, working closely with the senior management of Newgate, and also support other Porta Group companies, which include Publicasity and 21:12.

Odgers Interim appoints Wakeham in the North

Interim management provider Odgers Interim has appointed consultant Zoe Wakeham to lead its support for consumer goods businesses in the North of England and Midlands.

Wakeham will work with consumer management teams placing interim managers into senior roles – from the supply chain, procurement and marketing functions to HR and finance.

Populo Consulting takes on Turner as MD

Healthcare staffing specialist Populo Consulting has appointed Mike Turner as managing director to the company. 

Turner has more than 15 years in the NHS working in programme director roles in primary care, secondary care and mental health.

Populo Consulting is part of IT Works Resource Group.

SEC Recruitment adds to management board

Life sciences, pharma and IT staffing specialist SEC Recruitment has announced a new operational board.

New board members include strategic key accounts director Kerry Bambrick-Sattar, previously a senior director HR at healthcare recruiter QuintilesIMS, people director Carly Brunsden and sales director Louis Giquel, who have been with the firm since 2013 and 2007 respectively.

The trio join Stuart Britton, chairman Nick Watkins, operations director David Buist and finance director Nigel Gardner on the firm’s operational board.

SRiCheyenne appoints Hussey CEO

Digital, media, entertainment and sport executive search specialist SRiCheyenne has appointed Jay Hussey as CEO.

Hussey succeeds Cheyenne Group CEO and founder, Pat Mastandrea, who moves into a new role of vice chairman.

SRiCheyenne formed following the January merger of the US-based media and content recruitment experts Cheyenne Group and UK-headquartered SRi (formerly Sports Recruitment International).

Hussey joins SRiCheyenne from search firm Odgers Berndtson where he led their US technology and digital transformation practices. 

Worldwide Recruitment Solutions takes on Chua

Global energy and engineering staffing solutions provider Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS) has appointed Suzy Chua to lead its new power division serving the Asia Pacific market.

The Singapore-based team will be working closely alongside the firm’s UK head office power division, which serves clients across Europe, Africa and Latin America.

Chua’s most recent recruitment role was senior consultant at international energy, engineering and infrastructure recruitment firm Spencer Ogden.
