As both the reality TV shows featuring two contestants from the recruitment world motor on, our intrepid recruiters are battling to stay in and on our TV screens for yet another week.

As TV talent show The X Factor reaches the midpoint of this latest series, rapping recruiter Honey G’s mysterious momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

This latest weekend’s auditions saw Honey G, the alter ego of Anna Georgette Gilford, managing director of recruitment firm ARG Search, perform hip-hop duo Kriss Kross’s 1992 hit Jump and duly march into the next round of competition.

It seems as each week passes there is the increasing likelihood of a recruiter winning one of reality TV’s top shows. Last Thursday also saw professional search agent at IBM, Trishna Thakrar make it through on the BBC show The Apprentice

In her role as handling the promotions for her team, she persuaded them to change the spelling from the correct ‘gilet’ to ‘gillet’, meaning that the group was now advertising that a ‘loose woman’ was riding around flashing, instead of a flashing cyclist’s jacket.

As Lord Sugar pointed out: “You know on the crowdfunding website the word gilet was spelt wrong.

“It actually means loose woman and you put it on the internet saying it rides around at night flashing, so you should have got a lot more of a response.”

Unfortunately they didn’t…
