Ciett, the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies, has rebranded as the World Employment Confederation.

Announcing the rebrand last week, Annemarie Muntz, president of the World Employment Confederation, told an online conference that the new name reflects the organisation’s strategic aim, launched back in 2014, of better alignment, stronger messaging and broadening of its membership and services.

“We really think that name catches what we are doing,” Muntz added.

The rebrand came as the organisation launched a white paper entitled ‘The Future of Work’. This stated that with the employment industry key to providing a wide range of services to meet candidates’ individual expectations and working conditions, a one-size-fits-all approach does not work anymore.

The paper also called on recruitment agencies to ensure they offer the business community sustainable solutions to more efficiently contract and allocate labour.
