The US Department of Labor has provided a supplemental national dislocated worker grant of $3.4m (£2.3m) for re-employment and training services for Kentucky coal mine workers.

The US Department of Labor has provided a supplemental national dislocated worker grant of $3.4m (£2.3m) for re-employment and training services for Kentucky coal mine workers. 

The funding will help current people on the programme, as well as an additional 797 participants hit by recent layoffs.

Availability continues to rise for both perm and temp candidates

November saw increased availability of workers for the ninth straight month of the year, countered by lingering economic uncertainty and hesitancy to commit to new hires.
