International recruiter Nakama has launched Nakama New York.

The international recruitment consultancy that provides staff for the web, interactive, digital media, IT and business change sectors, says it has launched into North America as part of a strategic global expansion plan. The firm already has five offices established in cities across Asia and Europe.

Leading the operation is managing director Jane Richardson, who joins the firm’s senior management team from Aquent, a global staffing and outsourcing firm, where she was director of strategic relationships across the UK.

She will work closely with Paul Goodship, managing director of Nakama London on growing a specialist team of recruitment consultants to meet market demand in the US.
