Contract catering firm Compass Group UK & Ireland has committed to ensuring that 50% of all its chefs are women by 2020.

One of the UK’s largest employers, Compass has a workforce of 60,000. Of its 4,393 chefs, 35% are female. The industry average is 18.5%.
