A doctor’s surgery in France has recruited a druid after a job advert it placed for a doctor went unanswered for months.

News site The Local reports the doctor’s practice in La Roche-Derrien, north Brittany, found itself short staffed, with one of its doctors leaving and another planning to retire.

Due to the shortages, the surgery had to close this past Saturday because the on duty doctor could not deal with the number of sick patients.

As the surgery serves around 5,000 people, town officials were forced into employing a druid healer.

The reports add the druid will help people with issues like anxiety and sleeping problems but would not be carrying out any medical treatments.
