Jobs and recruiting site Glassdoor has distanced itself from reports it is to go up against professional network LinkedIn by introducing personal profiles to its service offering.
Yesterday, the Financial Times reported Glassdoor chief executive Robert Hohman as saying introducing personal profiles for members to its service was an option.
A spokesperson for Glassdoor told Recruiter the firm has no current plans to develop its platform to allow employees to have individual profiles. “We're still firmly focused on developing employer branding tools and building out our recruitment offering,” the spokesperson added.
Yesterday, professional network LinkedIn released Q4 and full-year results that showed revenue from its talent solutions business increased 41% on the previous year.
Talent solutions revenue rose to $1,877m (£1,290m) in 2015, with $535m revenue generated in Q4 2015.
Hiring revenue contributed $487m and $1,770m in Q4 and 2015, with learning & development revenue contributing $49m and $107m in Q4 and full-year 2015 respectively.
