German grocery chain Aldi is creating 5,000 jobs as it opens more than 80 new stores across the UK this year, according to the Financial Times. 

The expansion drive is part of a £600m investment programme that will take the number of UK outlets to 700.

The chain is reportedly looking for people seeking a long-term career.
