Fri, 30 Oct 2015LinkedIn has seen year-on-year revenue from its talent solutions business increase 46%, according to the professional network’s financial results for the three months to 30 September 2015.

The results, published this morning, show revenue from talent solutions rose to US$502m (£327m), while the group’s learning & development business lynda.com brought in $41m over the quarter.

Commenting on the talent solutions business in a statement, chief executive Jeff Weiner said LinkedIn had been busy investing in talent solutions research and development throughout this year. By example, he referenced next year’s launch of a new referrals tool and a revamped LinkedIn Recruiter announced at the group’s recent Talent Connect event.

Regarding the group’s new mailbox system, Weiner said LinkedIn had already seen a double-digit percentage increase in the number of messages sent between members, and a “significant” lift in one-day reply rates.

The company also this morning announced the appointment of John Herlihy as vice president and managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
