FROM SEPTEMBER 2015'S RECRUITER MAGAZINE

What career might lie ahead for Walter Palmer, the American dentist who was forced to go into hiding after his trophy killing of Cecil the Lion in Zimbabwe? Kate McCarthy, managing director of McCarthy Retail Recruitment, takes a shot at a prediction:

Finding a career when you are the world’s most notorious dentist can be like pulling teeth. After taking the mantle of the new ‘American Sniper’ with an apparent need to compensate for certain inadequacies in his barrel size, a future in film is sadly blocked by a face for radio. With a reckless disregard for the potential of world opinion and legal constraints when he shot dead Zimbabwe’s beloved Cecil the lion, we can eliminate a professional future as either solicitor or Ambassador. Through his misguided choices of recreational activity, he has resigned himself to a career closely linked to poaching and headhunting – although his lack of ethics would mean he would struggle in our industry.
