US-based engineering and IT recruiter CDI is to buy ScaleneWorks People Solutions, a privately-held talent acquisition solutions provider in India, for an undisclosed sum.

In a statement, executive vice president and president of CDI International David Arkless said: "The acquisition of ScaleneWorks represents an important step in our plan to expand selectively our footprint to high-growth markets, and offer new and existing clients additional value-added services.”

The company also announced a partnership with recruiters Acro Service and Mastech to supply services to Congruent Talent, a newly formed minority-owned company.

A CDI statement says Congruent was formed to unify the fulfilment capabilities of the recruiters to serve large organisations.

CDI will contribute managed service provider, vendor management systems and operational support. All three partners will provide fulfilment capability.

CDI recently revealed its Q2 revenue had decreased 13.2% year-on-year.
