Australian recruiter APM has acquired Birmingham-based Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG).

PPDG provides employment and skills support across the UK, and is a contractor of the government’s Work Programme.

No financial details were disclosed.

Multi-sector recruiter Pertemps Network Group sold PPDG to ESH a number of years ago.

Sources familiar with the situation say APM is planning to rebrand PPDG under the APM banner.

APM has appointed Alan Cave, who has worked at the Department for Work and Pensions and held senior roles with human services providers, as chief executive of the expanded APM UK.

PPDG employs around 600 people and delivers services from more than 40 locations.
