Global recruiter Hydrogen Group has appointed Colin Adams as chief financial officer.

Adams' appointment follows a March restructure of Hydrogen’s management team in which founder Tim Smeaton and John Glover stepped down as chief executive and finance director respectively. Smeaton was replaced by fellow founder Ian Temple.

Adams qualified with professional services firm KPMG as a chartered accountant and has more than 20 years' experience as CFO of listed companies. His previous roles include group finance director of Bloomsbury Publishing from 1994 to 2011. Most recently he was chief financial officer of Quercus Publishing.
