Headhunting firms are the most important recruitment channel for employers in China, according to ‘The RMG Recruitment Insider Survey’, a nationwide quarterly survey conducted by RMG Selection, a China-based international recruitment and HR consultancy.

The survey of HR and hiring managers from nearly 600 corporations found nearly a third of manager-level professionals were recruited using headhunters in Q1 2015, while social media was the second most popular recruitment channel.

The report also reveals 99.1% of state owned enterprises added to headcount in Q1, while only 8.2% of companies failed to hire additional staff in the quarter.

The report adds ‘hot’ job sectors in the quarter included ‘machinery’, IT and legal.
