Randstad CPE comes top of recruiters in Sunday Times list

Recruitment giant Randstad’s construction and engineering staffing business Randstad CPE is the top recruitment company among The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For, employing between 250 and 3,500 workers.

The latest list, published this week, includes seven recruitment firms. Ranked by position, the recruiters were:

Commenting on Randstad CPE’s top ranking, managing director Owen Goodhead told Recruiter the secret to the firm’s top position on the list is finding people with potential and giving them the tools to succeed.
“We seek out the most promising people, but we also build up the best teams with the right training and motivation,” he said.
“Our commitment to our employees is about making them feel like partners in the business from day one – offering an industry-leading induction programme followed by rapid responsibility, alongside the support needed to thrive in such a fast-paced and growing industry.”
Meanwhile, Grahame Caswell, chief executive of recruitment agency and recruitment process outsourcing provider Search Consultancy, said in a statement its placing reflected a commitment to providing workers with a meaningful career path.
"We are proud of our ongoing commitment to providing a dynamic working environment where staff are motivated, driven, and are given opportunities to develop their careers and gain recognition.
“Our latest ranking and new three-star accreditation are testament to this, and I applaud the efforts of our truly extraordinary workforce,” he added.
For Gary Browning, CEO at global people management business Penna, the firm’s position was due to its client focus. He said in a statement: “We’ve started 2015 in a really strong position and it is kudos to all the talented individuals that work at Penna. Putting employees and clients at the heart of everything we do, we are delighted to have maintained our place in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For.”
Next Sunday [8 March] The Sunday Times will publish the 100 Best Small Companies to Work For, made up of firms that employ between 50 and 250 staff.
