More than 100 of Virgin Media’s latest batch of apprentices have now been promoted to roles within the telecommunications group.

At the firm’s annual apprentice graduation ceremony this month, 107 apprentices (from the 114-strong 2014 intake) were promoted to manager, planner, installation, service and network engineer roles across the group.

Almost 1,000 apprentices have benefitted from the scheme since its launch in 2008.

Virgin Media will begin recruitment for its 2015 apprenticeship intake during National Apprentice Week next month.

Last week, the group is announced it is creating 6,000 jobs including 1,000 apprenticeships over the next five years.
