One San Francisco jobseeker has gone the extra mile – an extra 8.1 miles to be precise – to apply for a job with fitness tracking company Strava.

One San Francisco jobseeker has gone the extra mile – an extra 8.1 miles to be precise – to apply for a job with fitness tracking company Strava.
Using Strava’s run-tracking app, David Miller ran 8.1 miles to spell out ‘hire me’, finishing his run at the company’s San Francisco office.
A Strava spokesperson told Recruiter that due to confidentiality reasons, they could not say whether Miller got the job but it was not the first time the company had seen "Strava art" from potential employees.
It was, however, the first time such an exercise had finished on the company’s doorstep.
“We love it! It shows creativity and enthusiasm for our company and our product,” the spokesperson said.
Other examples of ‘Strava art’, through either the run tracker or cycle tracker, include a giant turkey (pictured), a marriage proposal and, from the UK, a bicycle and a rabbit.
“We enjoy seeing the creative ways in which candidates make it known they want to work here,” the spokesperson said, adding the best way to apply is through Strava's career portal on its website.
