Encore Personnel expects increased turnover and headcount in 2015

Blue-collar staffing specialist Encore Personnel anticipates a 30% increase in turnover to £60m, and has budgeted an 18% increase in headcount in 2015.
Mon, 2 Feb 2015Blue-collar staffing specialist Encore Personnel anticipates a 30% increase in turnover to £60m, and has budgeted an 18% increase in headcount in 2015.

A statement from the company showed group revenue increased by 50% to £45.2m for the year ended 31 December, while staff numbers rose from 120 to 154, helped by Encore's purchase of food and horticultural staffing specialist Spalding-based Response Recruitment.

Commenting on the group’s results Encore managing director Greg Latham said he expected turnover to increase in 2015 by a further 30% to £60m, and then £80m in 2016 from organic growth and strategic acquisitions. However, he warned of “a significant tightening of labour supply” that might affect 2015 growth plans.

Latham told Recruiter such concerns around labour supply would not affect plans for strategic growth from blue-collar businesses and geographic areas the firm is not already resident in.

He said: “Our budgeted headcount at the end of the year is 190. We currently stand at 154 employees.

“We will look for more initiatives and put efforts into recruiting candidates from the UK and the EU,” he added.

“This will mean investment in candidate attraction initiatives, but as such… changes to numbers quoted and organic growth will continue.”
