A £40m contract to support the Royal Air Force’s advanced short-range air-to-air missile system (ASRAAM) has protected a “number of highly skilled technology jobs”, according to a statement form the Ministry of Defence.

A £40m contract to support the Royal Air Force’s advanced short-range air-to-air missile system (ASRAAM) has protected a “number of highly skilled technology jobs”, according to a statement form the Ministry of Defence.
A spokeswoman told Recruiter the contract would protect 25 jobs.
The statement said the ASRAAM contract, with missile developer and manufacturer MBDA, will see the firm provide support infrastructure and maintenance for the weapon for the next five years.
The deal will sustain multiple positions at the company’s factories in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Greater Manchester and Bedfordshire.
