Alleged human traffickers appear in court

They are Lenka Cmejlova, Jiri Sebelik, Martin Tancos, Katerina Kuriova, Nela Dzurkova, Petr Tancos, Sandra Tancosova and Ruzena Tancosova, all from Plymouth.

As Recruiter reported earlier this week, the five women and three men were arrested on suspicion of trafficking people in the UK for the purpose of labour exploitation and money laundering following raids in Cornwall and Plymouth.

The eight alleged victims are Czech nationals who remain in the care of Plymouth City Council, The Salvation Army and the British Red Cross.
