The jobs board received CVs from Jay, William, Simon and Neil, the four leading characters, which are littered with references to episodes.

Jay’s CV listed model, company director and professional footballer as job titles and added: “Friends would describe me as a bit of a ladies man, guilty. My dad plays poker with Danny Dyer and the Kray Twins plus he used to ride with Lance Armstrong (before the drugs scandal). As you can tell I’ve got good genes. Read on to learn more… [sic]”

Alex Wall, marketing executive at InAutomotive, who found the CVs with a colleague, told Recruiter.co.uk they were impressed by the level of research.

“We found Jay first and then Neil. Me and my colleagues are massive fans [of the television show] and it’s spot on – they definitely did there research. The number on the CV matched the number on the show,” he said.

The CV of Neil Sutherland, the dim-witted nice guy of the group, said: “Alright? I’m Neil and I’m looking for a job since leaving the fishmongers in the Asda. Tbh, things got difficult when I cam back from Malia with Lisa. Nicole was not happy! [sic]”

Simon’s interests included Carli D’ Amato, reggae, gigs and the Fiat Cinquecento “Hawaii Edition”, a reference to his notorious yellow Fiat.
