Over six in 10 (63%) procurement & supply chain hiring managers are looking to recruit permanent hires, a survey by recruiter Robert Walters has said.

Over six in 10 (63%) procurement & supply chain hiring managers are looking to recruit permanent hires, a survey by recruiter Robert Walters has said.
The Robert Walters ‘Hiring Intentions Survey 2014 Procurement & Supply Chain’ report said that 60% of procurement & supply chain hiring managers say the growth of the business or new business will have the greatest impact on hiring, nearly twice as many as at the start of the year.
Using a recruitment consultancy is the most popular hiring channel among procurement & supply chain hiring managers, with 72% preferring recruiters to fill vacancies, compared to just over half using internal human resources or company website advertising.
The biggest focus for those hiring will be junior procurement & supply chain professionals, with over three quarters (77%) of employers expecting to hire at this level. Two-thirds (67%) are set to bring in mid-level procurement & supply chain professionals and half (50%) will be looking to hire managers.
