The best job ever? Travel the UK and earn £105k in the process

Mon, 23 Jun 2014
Isle of Wight The Needles
Taking a leaf out of Tourism Queensland’s book, which launched the best job in the world campaign and saw one applicant chosen to be an island caretaker in the Great Barrier Reef for six months, Expedia UK is offering one candidate the opportunity to travel around the UK for a year, paying him or her £105k.

The online travel company are searching for an ‘Expedia travel pioneer’ to travel up and down the UK, experiencing the best-known locations and hidden gems, while meeting and mixing with the people who make Britain great.

Applicants are not required to be an expert in online media as they will receive training and support at a London boot camp in August, and will receive on-going support from a community manager who will help with guidance on itinerary planning, profile raising and practical considerations.

They will keep their audience updated on their travel experiences through the use of blogs and video uploads, with the pay packet expected to allow the traveller to combine the best hotels with budget locations; iconic landscapes with the hidden gems; and street food with the best restaurants.

To apply for the role, applicants are being asked to submit an application video and complete an online application form by 27 June 2014.
