SmartBear establishes European HQ in Galway with 100 jobs

US company SmartBear Software is establishing its European headquarters in Galway, Ireland in a move that is expected to create up to 100 jobs over five years.

The jobs announcement was made today by Ireland’s minister for jobs, enterprise and innovation, Richard Bruton. The investment is supported by Bruton’s department through IDA Ireland.

The jobs created in Galway will be in sales, marketing, customer support, operations, finance and software development.

With its global US headquarters in Massachusetts, SmartBear’s key product is software that other software developers use to develop, test or monitor the operations of applications they are themselves developing.  

The company has customers in over 90 countries and additional offices in Sweden, Spain and Russia.
