Impellam chairman Wilson dies

Andrew Wilson, chairman of multi-sector recruiter Impellam Group, died yesterday morning (15 May) following a short illness, the company has announced.

“The Board is shocked and saddened,” company finance director Andrew Burchall told Recruiter today.  

No other details about Wilson’s death were available.

Wilson had enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Impellam and its antecedent companies. He had held the chairmanship since November 2012, and had previously served as a non-executive director since May 2008.

Before then, Wilson was a non-executive director of The Corporate Services Group since March 2003 until its merger with Carlisle Group created Impellam.

Wilson was also the chairman of digital direct marketing service Jaywing and publishing group Local World. He was a non-executive director for political information and communications group Dods.
