Brewer JW Lees to create 1,000 jobs

JW Lees, the North-West brewery and pub chain, will create 1,000 jobs over the next five years as it aims to reach a turnover of £100m.

JW Lees, the North-West brewery and pub chain, will create 1,000 jobs over the next five years as it aims to reach a turnover of £100m.

The firm currently manages just over 30 pubs in the UK – all in North-West England and North Wales – but has expansion plans to triple its portfolio by opening more than 60 new North-West locations before the end of 2019.

With an average of 15 vacancies opening up with each new pub, JW Lees expects to generate around 200 bar jobs each year.
