Oil contractors recruiting up, but operator hiring drops, finds survey

Sponsored by law firm Bond Dickinson, the report shows 73% of contractors and 50% of operators upping their headcount next year. Last year, 65% of contractors and 58% of operators said they would increase staff levels.

The survey of 700 firms finds 75% of operators and 68% are ‘suffering from recruitment difficulties’.

Half of respondents said losing employees to companies in other oil regions was a contributor to staff loss.
