Assist acquires North-West rival Top Gear Recruitment

Supply chain, production and manufacturing recruiter Assist Recruitment has acquired rival Manchester-based recruiter Top Gear Recruitment.

Top Gear will now operate under the Assist Recruitment brand.

Assist says it expects revenue for the expanded company in the current trading year to exceed £60m – Assist recorded a turnover of £23.1m in the year to 30 April 2012, its last accounts filed with Companies House.

In November last year, recruiter.co.uk reported that Top Gear co-founder, Danny Steel, had returned to streamline the recruitment business, after it had gone into administration the previous year.
