Freelance marketplace YunoJuno gets investment from Streetcar entrepreneur

YunoJuno, an online freelance marketplace for designers and developers, has attracted private investment from the co-founder of car sharing company Streetcar.

Brett Akker co-founded Streetcar in 2004. When Streetcar was bought by US rival Zipcar in 2010, he worked for the new firm until January this year, according to his LinkedIn profile. Last summer he co-founded storage firm LoveSpace.

In September, YunoJuno also attracted investment from Jon Claydon, who has experience across the advertising world with agencies including Work Club and Claydon Heeley Jones Mason.

Claydon is also the company’s chair, while Akker is retained as an advisor.
