Wed, 29 May 2013UK-based specialist recruiter abrs has today announced the signing of what they are calling a “definitive agreement” to buy executive search firm Carmichael Fisher Singapore.

Andrew Bailey, chief executive officer of abrs – which specialises in future media, technology, marketing and creative recruitment – will become group CEO. Bailey said that the acquisition reflected his long-held ambition to extend abrs’s reach beyond the UK and Europe.

Gary Smith, country manager for Carmichael Fisher Singapore, said that he shared Bailey’s vision to extend the firm’s reach into new territories.

The proposed sale of Carmichael Fisher’s Singapore arm is the second sale in the brand’s chain of operations. With a head office in Sydney, Carmichael Fisher sold its Middle East operation in February 2012 to UK recruitment process outsourcing and talent management firm Ochre House.

Carmichael Fisher continues to have offices in London, Hamburg and Stockholm in Europe, Hong Kong in Asia, and elsewhere in Australia in Melbourne and Perth.
