Martyn becomes Staffline group MD, Evans retires
Thu, 21 Feb 2013
Recruitment and outsourcing firm Staffline has promoted non-executive director Diane Martyn (pictured left), previously the chief executive officer of Randstad Staffing, to the role of group managing director, effective next Monday (25 February), while executive director Marshall Evans is to retire.
Martyn joined the firm in February 2012, and in her new role will be responsible for Staffline’s recruitment operations, reporting directly to Andy Hogarth, group CEO. Martyn herself has also been CEO of recruitment firm Select Appointments, until it was acquired by Randstad in 2008. It has since been bought by Staffline. Prior to this, she was recruitment firm Blue Arrow’s managing director.
Evans, who joined Staffline in a board role in July 2002, will remain with the group in a part time capacity and will continue to be a member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) Council, chairing its Employment Policy Committee, and will represent the REC as a member of the board of directors of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA).
Additional board changes see Shaun Brittain resign from his role as executive board member to take up a promotion to the role of joint managing director of Staffline subsidiary Staffline Recruitment, taking on overall responsibility for Staffline’s food manufacturing business.
Britain’s co-managing director at Staffline Recruitment will be Andrew Coop, who is currently Staffline operations director. Coop will be responsible for the company’s logistics & distribution. The firm will appoint a further non-exec in due course.
Hogarth comments:"These changes announced today will allow us to continue to drive scale across all of our operations and expand our core revenue base as we continue to grow."
