International recruiter Randstad has reached agreement with Japanese recruiter FujiStaff to take a majority stake in the company.

Randstad is to take a 44.6% stake in the firm, in addition to the 20.5% stake it already holds.

The Dutch recruitment giant adds that it plans to acquire all issued and outstanding shares in FujiStaff. Under Japanese law, it requires 75% of shares to take full ownership of the company.

Randstad will retain all of FujiStaff’s 1,000-strong workforce as well as those employees that work for Randstad Japan.
