Bulgaria’s Madan region will see around 2,000 new jobs in the ore-mining sector in the next six months, according to Bulgarian news agency FOCUS.
The country’s minister of economy, energy and tourism, Delyan Dobrev, says that these will come through three new projects in the final stages of development, of which one has seen a contract signed.
Dobrev notes that minerals and raw materials is one of the only sectors reporting significant growth in the country at the moment – and is currently growing twice as fast as the tourism sector.
