Vicky Scott, operations manager at Jobs4Medical, says: “Junior doctors’ hours have dropped dramatically over the past 15 years or so. Doctors who previously worked 100-plus hour weeks, have had to cut their hours down to just 48. This change in legislation is one of the reasons doctor vacancies on our site are at an all time high – with over 4,000 more positions available than nurses.”
