Supermarket chain Waitrose is launching apprenticeship schemes across all areas of its business.

Up to 200 apprentices will be taken for 12-month placements over the next year, with each receiving a Level 2 Retail Apprenticeship qualification at the end of the placement.

The company is also offering up to three apprenticeships at all new standard branches, excluding the smaller Little Waitrose offerings.

The rollout follows a trial at 13 branches for 41 apprentices.
