Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) will employ 180 at a new hotel in Westminster due to open in November, and could include candidates from Soldier On!, a charity helping wounded military veterans into employments.

IHG’s first London opening in 36 years is a 256-room facility with restaurant and bar, providing a range of jobs.IHG says it has partnered with Soldier On! and will recruit injured veterans for the new hotel.

Speaking to Recruiter, Harrison says that the deal is not quite a partnership, but that he understands “they will give ‘serious consideration’ to candidates coming through SoldierOn!”.

Asked if the charity would look to further its relationship with IHG, he replied: “We would hope so, but we would like to see how the relationship develops.”

As previously reported by recruiter.co.uk, IHG’s significant recruitment plans over the next four years also put significant emphasis on internal mobility.
