Adecco Group has appointed Sid Barnes as the new managing director of its IT & telecommunications brands – Computer People, Glotel, Modis, Modis Solutions and Spring Technology.

Barnes has been with Adecco Group for over eight years, most recently holding the role of executive director. He replaces Jim Albert in his new role.

Barnes has 14 years of IT recruitment experience. He was previously a group sales director at Futuro Group, and has also worked at Progressive Computer Recruitment and the Royal Mail.

Albert now holds the role of chief information officer at insurance firm Bankers Financial Corporation.
