Neil Smith, chair of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) and managing director of technical recruiter Kinetic, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

In addition to these roles, Smith chairs the Trafford Local Council in the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

REC chief executive Kevin Green describes Smith as “a great example of someone who invests his own and his business’s time in putting something back and making a real difference”.

“He is also,” Green adds, “a really good guy to work with.”
