Investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald due to hire 1,000

Investment bank Canto Fitzgerald is due to hire between 800 and 1,000 people across its operations, report various media outlets.
The bank, which employs around 8,000 people, had not responded to Recruiter’s enquiries to confirm or deny the reports.
Reports suggest that the hires would come in the company’s broker-dealer arm, which employs 1,600.
- Yesterday (28 June) a survey from PwC and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) showed a net loss of 11,000 financial services jobs in the three months to June 2012.
