INTERNATIONAL US: Auto parts firm LMV to bring 156 new jobs to Missouri

Tue, 26 Jun 2012
Automotive parts assembler LMV Automotive Systems will create 156 jobs in Liberty, Missouri when it opens a new factory in April 2013.

LMV is part of Cosma International and its new factory will be supplying to a Ford Motor Company assembly plant in Claycomo in the same state, which is scheduled to start production of a new Transit van.
State governor Jay Nixon, who attended the breaking ground ceremony for the new factory yesterday (25 June), says that Missouri “is leading the rebirth of the American auto industry”.

A press statement from Nixon’s office notes that in a recent listing of the 10 Most Entrepreneurial States, CNN Money said of Missouri and its number six ranking: “Move over, Detroit. The big guns of manufacturing have turned sweet on Missouri – and GM, Ford and even Boeing are opening or expanding factories here.”
