The strategy has been developed in consultation with local government, universities and training and career development organisations.Garrett says: “Young people deserve the best start in life, and this means having the support necessary to make a successful transition from school to further study or training and ultimately work.”

He added that the nation’s prosperity relied on matching the skills and aspirations of individuals with businesses’ needs.
