INTERNATIONAL Australia: National career strategy launches
Thu, 28 Jun 2012
Australia’s minister for youth Peter Garrett has called for public comment on the government’s newly launched National Career Development Strategy.
The strategy has been developed in consultation with local government, universities and training and career development organisations.
Garrett says: “Young people deserve the best start in life, and this means having the support necessary to make a successful transition from school to further study or training and ultimately work.”
He added that the nation’s prosperity relied on matching the skills and aspirations of individuals with businesses’ needs.
