HTP unveils 95% apprentice-to-employment conversion rate

Education and training provider HTP has released figures showing that 95% of all students completing their apprenticeships remain in employment.

It also saw 87% of all apprentices complete their courses – nationally, the average is closer to 75%.
The company designs and delivers apprenticeships in a number of sectors, including hospitality & catering, management, retail, customer service and business administration.

Established in 2000, HTP apprentices have worked with firms including Portsmouth City Council, Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service and Hollybourne Hotels in Surrey and Hampshire.

My son recently completed an IT apprenticeship with a company called ZENOS....he is 19. After leaving college he decided Uni is not for him and Zenos offered further IT training and on the job experience, from day 1 he was not paid correctly, they taxed him, he passed his course and was then offered 10 weeks work experience, where again he was mis paid. He had to travel 30 miles a day that cost him £10 per day in bus fares, leaving him sometimes £2 as they mis paid him. He was not offered a perm job and is now looking himself...
