Tue, 8 May 2012
The chief executive of search giant Yahoo, Scott Thompson, has apologised to employees after incorrectly claiming to have held a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Pressure had mounted on Thompson since a letter from Daniel Loeb, chief executive of hedge fund and Yahoo shareholder Third Point, revealed the inaccuracy in Thompson's official biography.
It also demanded his resignation by yesterday, Monday 7 May, although he remains in the role.
