Recruiters must give senior leaders feedback on what would make their organisations more attractive as employers, according to the chief executive of Stack Exchange, a group of 85 online Q&A sites.
Joel Spolsky told an ERE Expo audience that anyone spending most of their time on paperwork was not spending enough time on “making their organisation great”.
Recruiters are key to understanding why their business may not be attracting the desired talent, he argued. “Recruiters are entitled to have a conversation with their CEO. You have to start re-imagining your role” as consultant and strategist, he said.
