Welsh government supports 90 new jobs at Morrisons’ meat facility

A £6.4m investment will see 90 new jobs created at a fresh meat facility supplying to supermarket Morrisons.
The Farmers Boy Deeside facility provides the supermarket sliced meat and deli products and will now have an expanded capacity to produce 40 tons of ready-to-eat chicken meals a week.
The Welsh government’s Economic Growth Fund provided £635k of investment, with Morrisons adding an extra investment.
Mario Jacobs, general manager at Farmers Boy Deeside, says that the firm “will look to fill these jobs with local candidates where possible”.
