Recruiter editor DeeDee Doke was recognised last week for her reporting, in global professional services firm Towers Watson’s Excellence in HR Journalism competition.
At an event held in London’s Serpentine Gallery, Doke was highly commended in the Recruitment and Engagement category for her reports on sourcing (‘Searching high and low: no sourcer’s stone left unturned’, Recruiter, 15 June 2011) and workforce planning (‘Staffing for the future begins yesterday’, Recruiter, 30 Nov 2011). Judges praised Doke’s extensive research for the feature articles.
The category winner was Jane Bird of The Financial Times, who was cited for a report on recruiting and engaging people with Asperger’s syndrome.
Towers Watson said a record number of entries were submitted this year.
The highly commended prize was £50 in vouchers at a major department store.
