Health and outsourcing contractor MAXIMUS is to commence operations in Pittsford, New York, and “expects to add 325 jobs in the near term and followed by an additional 30 jobs over the long term”, a company statement says.

The firm, which benefited from a package of tax credits from the state government, is also relocating other operations currently located elsewhere in the state and in Pennsylvania to Pittsford.Bruce Caswell, president and general manager of MAXIMUS Health Services, says: “Our new Pittsford location is critical in establishing a regional hub for efficient service delivery on behalf of our government clients.”

Lieutenant governor Robert J Duffy of the state government comments that the announcement “demonstrates how the effective leadership of [New York State] Governor Cuomo is in improving New York’s ability to attract big companies to invest and create jobs”.
