Fast food restaurant chain McDonalds will need 70,000 new staff as it expands current operations and opens up to 250 new stores this year in China.

This is an increase from the 200 opened last year and the new plans will see the company’s workforce nearly double from its current 80,000 level.

To support the expansion plans, each of its current restaurants in China began running recruitment events yesterday (20 May).

The company has over 33,500 restaurants and around 400,000 employees worldwide.
